Counterfeit & Intellectual Property Policy
1. Counterfeit Goods
Counterfeit goods are products made or presented to imitate a genuine branded product without the necessary authorisation, including fake logos, labels, packaging or marks intended to mislead buyers.
Ka Step prohibits counterfeit and deceptive branded listings. Genuine second-hand branded goods may be listed when the seller has the lawful right to sell them and the listing is accurate.
2. Examples
Examples include fake branded shoes, bags, watches, phones, clothing, cosmetics, electronics, vehicle parts, accessories, labels, certificates or packaging.
3. Intellectual Property Complaints
A rights holder or authorised representative may report a listing by providing:
- name and contact details;
- the intellectual-property right claimed;
- listing ID or URL;
- description of the suspected infringement;
- supporting evidence where available;
- confirmation that the information supplied is accurate and that the complainant is authorised to make the complaint.
4. Review and Action
We may restrict visibility, remove content, contact the uploader, request evidence, suspend accounts or take other appropriate action based on the information available and applicable law.
