Law Enforcement & Legal Requests

Ka Step may receive requests from police, courts, regulators and other lawful authorities.

Requests

Where permitted and appropriate, requests should identify the requesting authority, legal basis, relevant account/listing identifiers, information sought, purpose and applicable time period.

Preservation

Where legally appropriate, we may preserve relevant records while a lawful request is processed.

Emergency Situations

Requests involving an imminent threat to life or serious physical harm may be handled through applicable emergency processes.

User Notice

Where legally permitted, Ka Step may notify an affected user about a request. We may withhold notice where prohibited by law or where doing so could compromise an investigation or create a safety risk.
