Acknowledgement and Resolution

Where the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 apply to Ka Step, grievances will be handled in accordance with the applicable requirements under those Rules.

The applicable grievance framework provides for acknowledgement of a complaint within 24 hours and resolution within 15 days from receipt of the complaint.

Certain complaints requesting removal of information or a communication link may be subject to a shorter statutory timeframe, including the applicable 72-hour requirement under the Rules.

Investigation of Complaints

Ka Step may review the information provided in a grievance and may request additional information where reasonably necessary to investigate the matter.

Depending on the nature of the complaint and the circumstances, Ka Step may take appropriate action in accordance with its policies and applicable law.

Such action may include reviewing, restricting, removing, or disabling access to content, restricting an account, suspending an account, or taking other appropriate measures.

False or Abusive Complaints

Users should provide accurate information when submitting a grievance.

Ka Step may take appropriate action where grievance mechanisms are intentionally misused, including through knowingly false, fraudulent, abusive, or malicious reports.

Product, Job and Rental Transactions

Ka Step provides a platform through which users may discover listings and communicate with other users.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Ka Step does not process or collect payments for transactions between users relating to products, jobs, rentals, services, or other user-to-user agreements.

Users are responsible for independently evaluating listings, communicating with other users, negotiating terms, and deciding whether to proceed with a transaction or agreement.

Complaints concerning potentially fraudulent, prohibited, counterfeit, misleading, or otherwise policy-violating listings may still be submitted through the grievance mechanism.

Subscription Complaints

Ka Step may separately process payments for its own subscription plans.

Questions or complaints relating to a Ka Step subscription, subscription payment, plan entitlement, or subscription-related service may also be submitted using the grievance contact details above.
